Push

After a canter, many of the horses were pushed for speed. This was right before the horse took off around the turn.
I noticed a lot of the horses pulled their nose in and pushed against the reins to gather their head right before the kicked it up another gear, and this was right was the rider was asking him to pick up speed around the bend.
